The chronological "Kidnews" reprint project continues — as we gingerly slide back in time to January of 1996. Probably not my finest cartooning hour as I think these panels feature far too many pulp-culture-of-the-moment references BUT maybe I’m just too critical and/or overly sensitive as I was unduly rude to a woman at the grocery store this morning. Alas and anon...

Anyway, as always, maybe I’m not the best judge of these eleven year old scribblings, and perhaps you’ll view them in a better light. Either way, these black and white cartoons are now bigger than ever when you click on them, which may not technically make them better, but will certainly make it easier for you to read and dismiss them without squinting.

Not sure who drew the background image this quintet of cartoons is resting upon, but I found this anonymous feline “public art” amusing, as are the kitty illustrations done by Headcase Design for the book “The Cat Owner’s Manual: Operating Instructions, Troubleshooting Tips, and Advice on Lifetime Maintenance” below is but one example:

All right, not much more to “report” if I hope to get this up before the weekend is out.

THANKS for having a look around, and we’ll see if we can do better next time.

Yours sincerely in I dunno what,
